2 Minute Hummus


I have a confession - until 2 weeks ago I’d never made hummus myself. I put it in the too hard basket and assumed store-bought hummus would not only taste better but be easier. How wrong was I!

While not a traditional hummus recipe, it is the easiest and quickest recipe using the ingredients I had on hand. Stay tuned for future variations on this recipe (I’m even thinking some sweet variations!)

1 x 400g can chickpeas drained and rinsed

1 clove garlic

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp tahini paste

sea salt

paprika (approx 1/2 tsp)

2-3 tbsp water

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend! That is it. If you need to add a splash more water to help the blending process do so but don’t add too much as you don’t want it too thin. Pop it in a container or jar and store in the fridge, should last a good few days (provided you don’t eat it all on the first day).
